Women in Need Program
Toni@KnockOutsForGirls.org
Through our Women in Need Program, we help deserving women in need. We are seeking needy and deserving women who could use a helping hand. We accept requests from individuals, co-workers, family members, friends, etc...
NOTE: We post letters exactly as we receive them. We do not edit or make changes, although we may shorten them if they are too long. Names are sometimes changed for privacy.
Hi Toni,
I am a single mom of two daughters. We've been struggling a lot in the last few months with bills. I am VERY good at finding work, and figuring
out how to come up with rent money. I'm resourceful, independent and definitely a survivor. But after two clients letting me go I am now behind on rent for September, my gas bill is two months late, and I have no money left for gas/school supplies, etc.
I am thinking about renting the kid's bedroom out but I'm hesitant about having a stranger live with us. I just need some help through this. I'm in
business for myself doing dog walking/pet sitting but have also been looking for a job. I'm discouraged and just want to give up sometimes. But I know that's not an option. I'm all they have and I need to get us to the other side of this.
I am putting a huge wish out into the universe...if there is anyone who can help in any way please email me. If you know anyone who needs pet
services in the L.A. or Valley areas please send them my way. If you have anything to donate to a yard sale I will do that. I've sold everything of
value that doesn't belong to my daughters. Anything. Thank you for reading. |
How KO4G Was Able To Help!
KnockOuts For Girls was able to extend a helping hand to Tiana by buying school clothes for her daughters and providing her with gas cards to help
her get to her existing pet care business clients.

Hi Toni,
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
A single mom delivered her baby 7 weeks early via C-Section at St. Joseph's Hospital and the baby is in NIC unit having surgery today 7/20/09. Mom desperately needs help with newborn boy items. Baby Giovanni was born under emergency C-Section on July 13, 2009 due to mom developing toxemia and he was 3lbs 14oz. He is diagnosed with a Diaphragmatic Hernia - see link where his intestines moved into the space where his lungs are supposed to be and
stopped his lungs from developing like a normal infant. He cannot breathe on his own and is aided by a respirator. Today he had his surgery and it went well. He will be in hospital for at least 5 weeks to recover and has to learn to breathe on his own and feed without the aids of tubes as he is now. Mom was not prepared for this and asks for your help. Mom is has been discharged from hospital but spends every day with him, however she is very stressed and is still suffering from high blood pressure.
Preemie clothing (baby is 3 lbs)
Stroller
Diapers
Breast pump (as she needs to pump and take her bottles to the NIC unit so
they can begin to administer his feeding thru tubes after he is stable
with his recovery).
Blessings,
Grandma Shereen |
